- CAIRSS for Music bibliographic database of research literature in music education, music psychology, music therapy, and music & medicine. No password required
- Doctoral Dissertations in Musicology Online international database of bibliographic records for completed dissertations and new dissertation topics in the fields of musicology, music theory, and ethnomusicology. No password required
- ERIC bibliographic database of research literature in education in general. No password required
- Grove Music Online New Grove Dictionary of Music continuously updated in electronic format
- JSTOR Search, locate and read online/download the full-text of articles from over 40 academic music journals.
- RILM (Music Literature International) Abstracts the world’s largest, continuously updated bibliography of music literature, providing international coverage with records in 140 languages from 3,700 journals.
- RISM Manuscript Sources: The new catalogue of the International Inventory of Musical Sources (RISM) provides a catalogue of around 700,000 mainly manuscript sources (pre-1800) stored in music libraries and archives around the world.
- Naxos Music Library Online Online streaming audio access to all Naxos recordings, with some other labels also. *** From 10 January 2012 the password has changed. For the new password, please contact library@riam.ie
For passwords, advice on access and training, please contact the library staff. If you are trying to access these from outside the RIAM, you may need to enter your Athens username and password. You can also obtain this from the library staff.
