At the heart of the Academy is a creative and systematic musical and speech and drama training for individuals of all ages. Weekly lessons from 40 to 60 minutes are offered in all classical music disciplines. All classical musical disciplines are catered for at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and are housed in five separate faculties namely, Keyboard; String; Woodwind, Brass and Percussion; Vocal and Musicianship.
The RIAM faculties include many international and national prize-winners, members of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and many individuals whose names have become synonymous with music education in Ireland.
From a young child taking his first musical steps to the seasoned musician seeking expertise and guidance at the highest level, the RIAM’s multi-faceted courses have something to offer all aspiring musicians. The Academy provides a comprehensive musical education from pre-instrumental to post-graduate level and offers numerous courses for both part-time and full-time students.
