Local Centre & Diploma Examinations

With over 115 years experience in examining, the Royal Irish Academy of Music is highly regarded as an examining body both at home and abroad.

The Local Centre Examination System, which examines over 42,000 students annually, offers a logical progression in most classical musical disciplines, as well as speech and drama for students and teachers alike.

Diplomas of Associate and Licentiate in both Teaching and Performance are a natural conclusion for many students who have travelled up through the Local Centre Examination system.

If you would like to submit some of your own works for inclusion in the Local Centre Piano Albums (Elementary to Grade V), please click here for details.
