Mary Brennan studied at the College of Music (Dublin) and the Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester). She has performed in a wide range of repertoire – opera, oratorio and recital with radio and television work in England, Europe and her native Ireland.
Since her return to Ireland, Mary has built up a formidable reputation as a voice teacher, working in the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, the Royal Irish Academy of Music and travelling to the Royal Northern College of Music. She has also been visiting professor at Flanders Opera Studio and has given many masterclasses. During this time, she has trained many singers who have gone on to successful professional careers and who have been major prize-winners in competitions both nationally and internationally.
