The Academy’s newest performing group, the RIAM Choral Society, was founded in September 2003 under the directorship of James Cavanagh. Its current director is Blanáid Murphy. Soloists with the group are generally drawn from members of the Choral Society, all of whom are senior singing students of the RIAM. The Choir has already performed in Dublin Castle, the National Gallery of Ireland, the National Concert Hall and on RTÉ Radio 1.
