High Achiever Awards

PTSBFor over one hundred years the Royal Irish Academy of Music has examined and inspired countless numbers of musicians through its highly successful Local Centre Examination System.

In 2000, as part of the Academy's ongoing commitment to music education in Ireland, the permanent tsb High Achiever Awards were established to recognise outstanding students of this successful and long-standing examination system throughout the country. Each year over 40,000 students of music and drama are eligible to compete for these special awards.

To date over 4,000 students of the system have received a High Achiever Award. Auditions, followed by award ceremonies and concerts are held throughout the country each autumn culminating in a Gala Concert in Dublin in December before a distinguished audience.

The High Achiever Awards were sponsored by permanent tsb for ten years (2000 to 2009).
