Pianist Seho Lee appointed inaugural Accompaniment Fellow
The RIAM is delighted welcome pianist, Seho Lee, to our faculty as inaugural Accompaniment Fellow. Seho studied piano (BMus, summa cum laude) at the Chugye University for the Arts and Opera coaching (Artistic Diploma, summa cum laude) at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul. In 2007 he joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Keyboard and Collaborative Piano department to work as a fellow pianist and study on the Masters in Piano accompaniment (with Distinction), the Postgraduate Diploma in Repetiteurship and MMus Piano for Dance at the RCS, working closely with Scottish Ballet and the RCS Ballet School. Seho also worked as an accompanist at the Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.
Since September 2012, Seho has been studying on the Opera Repetiteur Masters course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he is also a Junior Fellow Pianist on the Steinway Piano Scholarship scheme. Forthcoming engagements include taking part in the Aberystwyth Festival as a Junior Fellow Pianist, Winterbourne Opera, Edinburgh International Festival St Mary’s Cathedral Recital Series, Mid-Wales Opera Young Artists Concert Series.
