RIAM Junior Strings

The RIAM Junior Strings was founded by Sheila O'Grady in 1994 for the purpose of training young string players in the art of orchestral playing. Its current director is violinist Yvonne Donnelly. Since its foundation, RIAM Junior Strings has performed in the National Gallery of Ireland, National Concert Hall, the Watergate Theatre in Kilkenny and given many other concerts throughout the country.

This exciting young group of musicians have performed in aid of a number of charities and most recently recorded a CD Children for Children in aid of Barnardos.
