RIAM Wind Ensembles

The Royal Irish Academy of Music Wind Ensemble was founded by Victor Malirsh in 1995. Since September 1999 the Ensemble has worked under the directorship of Fergus O'Carroll. The Ensemble has given many performances at both the Royal Irish Academy of Music and National Concert Hall. As well as meeting once weekly as an ensemble, individual members of the group are members of RIAM Winds who have performed in such venues as the National Gallery of Ireland, National Concert Hall and on tour in Spain.

In 2002 the RIAM Junior Wind Ensemble was established to give young wind players an opportunity to perform music for this very popular medium.
