Introduction

The distinguished musicians and artists of the String Faculty create an exciting and inspiring environment in which our talented students are nurtured and developed. Individual instruction is offered in all string instruments from a very young age, with opportunities to play in orchestras - Junior Strings, Intermediate Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and String Chamber Orchestra, as well as various chamber music ensembles. Regular student concerts provide performance occasions throughout the year while ambitious students can enjoy the intensity and excitement of competitions at our annual Music Festival. College courses offered include undergraduate degrees in Music Performance and Music Education, Associate and Licentiate diplomas in teaching and performance, Masters in Music Performance and Doctorate in Music.
