Classical guitar is her primary specialism, although her expertise extends across a wide range of playing styles and she has extensive experience preparing students for RIAM and Trinity College London examinations, as well as Junior and Leaving Certificate Music practical examinations.

Angie taught Music at secondary level for over 20 years, serving as Head of Music Department and also as a choral and orchestral conductor. She has also examined Junior Certificate Music practical examinations for the State Examinations Commission. Her extensive experience singing in choirs includes the RTÉ Philharmonic Choir and both St Patrick’s Cathedral and Canticum Novum Chamber Choirs. She continues to be actively involved in ensemble performance as a member of GuitaRIAM, the Academy’s senior classical guitar ensemble.

Angie is passionate about helping young guitarists grow and flourish as musicians in a warm, encouraging and inclusive environment, where they can build confidence, enjoy making music with others and develop a lifelong love for playing guitar.
