We loan:

- full and miniature scores
- CDs & DVDs
- books on music
Collection strengths include materials on music education and music performance. We also hold early printed music materials in our Special Collections.
Reference materials include the Grove Dictionary and music journals.

Services
Loans
Full-time and part-time RIAM students can borrow from the library. You can borrow items for 1 month and renew for longer if no other user has requested them. We reserve the right to recall loans at any time.
Computers
We provide 1 PC and 4 Macs (with MS-Office Suite, Finale & Sibelius software) available for RIAM students and staff. The library is also a WiFi zone. During the Covid period these must be booked in advanced on Asimut.
Interlibrary loans
If the library does not hold the item you need, we can obtain it on on loan from other libraries. Staff, undergraduates and postgraduates may avail of this free on a limited basis. Please contact the library staff for more information.
Information skills training
We provide tutorials on library research, using the catalogue effectively, databases and electronic journals, and advanced web research.
Other facilities
- Audio equipment for multiple audio formats
- Photocopying and scanning facilities
