Declan Tiernan

Declan Tiernan shares primary responsibility for managing the European operations of Oak Hill Advisors (‘OHA’), a leading alternative investment firm, and leads OHA’s client coverage group in the EMEA region.

Prior to joining OHA, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Alternative Fund Distribution at UBS Investment Bank, having previously held similar roles at Deutsche Bank and HSBC.

Declan graduated with First Class Honours in Mathematics and Physics and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Queen’s University Belfast, where he has also served as a member of Senate and sat on the University’s Planning and Finance, and Honorary Degrees Committees.

Declan serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ireland Funds Great Britain and is a board member of the Alternative Credit Council. He holds a Diploma in Piano Performance from the London College of Music.
