Patrick Flynn
Patrick Flynn is from Ballina, Co. Mayo. He founded Flynn O’Driscoll, Business Lawyers, in 2002. He has a BCL degree from UCD and is an admitted solicitor in Ireland and England. He has an Advanced Leadership Management Programme with the Timoney Institute and IESE. Pat previously worked with A&L Goodbody and Ulster Investment Bank.
Flynn O’Driscoll was established in 2002 as a boutique business law practice. Pat was managing partner until 2020 and then executive chairman until 2023. It was awarded Irish law firm of the year in 2022 and consistently is ranked No. 1 corporate legal advisory firm deal volume Experian MarketsIQ. It also has a very successful global aviation financing practice which was started by Pat.
Since 2023, Pat has continued his general business advisory work. He is a strategic adviser to HF-Law for Ireland. He chairs Spark Venture Funding, which is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, Optahaul and Primary Health Properties PLC, Ireland, ICAV. He is a director of the Priory Institute. He is a judge on the annual Irish Private Equity Investor Awards and the Irish Exporter’s Association Annual Export Awards. Pat served on the Board of Directors of Enterprise Ireland for a four-year term from 2014 to 2018. Enterprise Ireland is the Irish Government organisation responsible for the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets. Pat has assisted RIAM in business development initiatives and loves music. He has attended Glyndebourne Opera every year for the last 30 years.
