Performing Opportunities (Junior)

Junior RIAM students are given the opportunity to gain platform experience as soloists through faculty concerts. Performance opportunities are also provided on a frequent basis for our junior performing groups.

Our more advanced Junior students, as part of the RIAM Young Scholar Programme, are offered public recitals at venues throughout Ireland and international exchanges with institutions such as the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the School for Young Talent in the Hague.

Concerts & Performing Groups

RIAM runs a busy schedule of internal concerts, ranging from faculty concerts to festivals that celebrate a composer, or genre of music.

Externally, Junior RIAM students perform in venues such as the National Concert Hall, National Gallery of Ireland, O’Reilly Hall, Belvedere and in recital venues around Ireland.

The RIAM Performing Groups provide an extensive range of opportunities for the young student. Read more about this on our Performing Groups page.

Competitions

Junior RIAM students have access to internal competitions with awards that reach as high as €10,000 to support further musical study.

Masterclasses

Advanced students are given the opportunity to participate in masterclasses given by distinguished international visiting artists across all instruments.
