The RIAM’s celebrates the centenary of Berg’s Three Orchestral Pieces with a world première of a two-piano version of this  seminal work  by RIAM Professor of Composition, Kevin O’Connell.

Performed by pianists Izumi Kimura  and  Isabelle O’Connell, this  evening concert will also feature his Piano Sonata and  Seven Early Songs.

Earlier in the day, audiences can look forward to a lecture at by Professor Douglas Jarman of the RNCM, widely acknowledged as a world authority on Berg, as well as a special screening of Pierre Boulez  and  the Vienna  Philharmonic rehearsing this  iconic masterpiece.
