
RIAM is excited to welcome the Irish violist, Neasa Ní Bhriain, to work with Academy students on Wednesday, 19th February from 5:00 - 7:00pm in a viola Masterclass in the Vernon Studio.

Neasa Ní Bhriain - Biography
Irish violist Neasa Ní Brhrian is a musician searching for open dialogue in interdisciplinary forms with a view to better understanding the human condition and our relevance in modern society. Since 2018 she is Soloviola at the Staatskapelle Weimar and teaches Viola at the Musikgymnasium Belvedere, Weimar and at HMT Leipzig. She is a founding member of ensemble reflektor, a chamber orchestra based in northern Germany which supports music culture without boundaries. She is a keen chamber musician and has appeared with Can Cakmur, Albert Karch, Mairead Hickey, Friedrich Thiele, Aurelia Visovan and Alexey Stadler and has received enlightening musical guidance from Tatjana Masurenko, Erich Krüger. Eberhard Feltz, Oliver Wille, Yuri Bashmet, Wilfried Strehle, Garth Knox among others.
