
The final of the Lucien & Maura Teissier Award for Pianists took place on Wednesday, 26 March, in the Whyte Recital Hall of the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Four finalists, Aurélie Cimbe, Ella Nagy, Dawid Walega, and Sulamita Pyvovar competed for one of Ireland's most substantial music awards. The jury for the evening consisted of Denis Pascal, TU Dublin's Dr. Mary Lennon and RIAM's Board of Governors Chair Judith Woodworth.
Sulamita Pyvovar was announced as the winner of the Lucien and Maura Teissier Bursary Award of €10,000 with a fantastic performance of Liszt's Transcendental Étude No 3 in F Major, “Paysage” and Ginastera's Piano Sonata No 1, Op 22.
