Puccini’s Suor Angelica
The RIAM /Lir Opera Briefs series continues with one of the most remarkable one-act operas in the operatic canon.
In Puccini’s Suor Angelica – faith, loss and heartbreak are all laid bare as the central character, rejected by her family and confined to a convent, struggles with a terrible secret from her past.
Now in its fourth year Opera Briefs is an exciting series which introduces you to the next generation of opera singers and stage technicians in Ireland. We are delighted to present Opera Briefs for the first time at the Abbey Theatre.
