RIAM Amplify Research Day 2021:Thursday 4 March
The RIAM’s annual Amplify Research Day takes place on Thursday 4 March, via Zoom.
Featuring staff and students, this full-day event is a celebration of recent / ongoing research at RIAM and is a chance for the RIAM community to share and learn. The projects presented cover a wide range of topics, including: contemporary opera, the Piano Études of Philip Glass, managing injury as a musician, 19th Century guitar pedagogy, COVID-19 and singing, teaching visually impaired students, Alois Haba and microtonal music, the Irish composer Liam Lawton, and a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!
Our invited speaker is Dr Enya Doyle who will outline the results of the Women in Musical Leadership survey which is part of NEWS in MAP, a 3 year strategic partnership project funded by the Eramus+ programme. More information about the RIAM’s role as a partner organisation in this research can be found on our Research Projects page.
We will also hear from Prof Lynsey Callaghan who was recently appointed as the new Head of Programmes and Research at RIAM.
The full Amplify Research Day 2021 programme is now available on our Research Events page.
