RIAM flute graduate wins Irish Freemasons Competition

Amy Gillen, flute graduate of RIAM's Bachelor in Music Performance programme, is the 2018 winner of the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year Competition. In addition to the cash prize of €5,000, Amy will have radio broadcasts and a solo performance with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. Each year the music conservatoires of Ireland submit four candidates to compete in this prestigious competition. RIAM students have won six of the nine competitions.
