Next Generation Scholarship Partners directly support RIAM’s Student Scholarship Fund, which enables talented student musicians in financial need to focus on their training without the burden of unmanageable costs. For many, the combined expense of accommodation, travel, living costs, and tuition can make full-time musical study impossible.
Music students face a particular challenge in balancing the high cost of living with the many hours of daily practice required to reach professional standards. RIAM’s Student Scholarship Fund helps address this challenge, ensuring fair access to an unparalleled music performance education.
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and artistic potential, with funding distributed across Junior RIAM, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programmes.
Tracey Solicitors LLP, a personal injury law firm based in Dublin city centre, who have a dedicated Polish team to assist Polish nationals living in Ireland, chose to support the musical development of a Polish student at RIAM. We are delighted that they are now supporting the studies of Daniel Uman, a gifted pianist in the second year of his Bachelor of Music degree.

Daniel Uman - Biography
Daniel Uman is a young pianist and aspiring musical artist of Italian, Polish and Turkish background. Daniel began playing the keyboard at the age of 2, before undertaking his first formal piano lessons at the age of 5. At 11, he went on to win the Galaxy of Talents competition in Limassol, Cyprus. Upon turning 16, he decided to begin pursuing music, enrolling at Zespół Szkół Muzycznych im. I. Paderewskiego in Białystok, Poland. Under the supervision of Professor Marat, Daniel placed third at the V. International “Adana Rhapsody” Piano Festival and Competition in February 2024. After a strong audition, Daniel was offered a place to study at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and is now studying with Professor Thérèse Fahy. Daniel has participated in numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned pianists, including Marek Drewnowski, Rüya Taner, Fausto Di Cesare, and François Dumont.
