EMPOWER: Women Changing Music International Women's Day Celebration at RIAM

Founded in 2021 by musicians Sinéad Walsh and Hannah Seymour, EMPOWER: Women Changing Music champions the work of women composers and musicians through performance, commissioning, advocacy and community.

Returning to RIAM for International Women’s Day, this special event celebrates creativity and collaboration through performances by emerging chamber ensembles featuring music by women composers, including the Irish premiere of the EMPOWER OpusHER commission performed by a special guest artist; mezzo soprano Lotte Betts-Dean.

The event concludes with a panel discussion bringing together leading voices from across the Irish music industry to reflect on representation and the future of women in music.
