Unlocking the Archives: Bite-Sized Performances at the NLI

Since its foundation in 1877, the National Library of Ireland has built an extraordinary record of musical life in Ireland, spanning printed and manuscript music, archives, concert programmes and images.

As the NLI celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2027, RIAM is delighted to join forces with Ireland’s library of record for Unlocking the Archives, a special series of performances and events in March and April bringing musicians, audiences and collections together in new ways.

RIAM musicians take music beyond the concert hall with a series of short lunchtime performances at the National Library of Ireland, offering visitors a chance to encounter live music in the heart of the Library itself.
