Women Transforming Classical Music

We are delighted to join forces with The Open University on International Women’s Day 2027 to present a special workshop led by Feminist Musicologists Laura Hamer, Ann Grindley, and Orla Shannon.

On the occasion of this global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and one which marks a call to action for advancing gender equality, Laura, Ann and Orlawill lead a free interactive workshop to support students, teachers, performers, ensembles, and organisations within the classical music industry to diversify their repertoire by including more works by women composers.
