The Royal Irish Academy of Music is excited to unveil the line-up for the 2025/2026 Wigmore Series Dublin, our special partnership with London’s world-famous Wigmore Hall. Supported by Clinch Wealth Management, this series brings some of the biggest names in classical music to Dublin for six unmissable concerts between November 2025 and April 2026. All concerts will take place in the beautifully intimate Whyte Recital Hall at RIAM, giving audiences the chance to hear these outstanding performers up close.
As part of the series, these acclaimed artists will also work with RIAM students through masterclasses, open rehearsals and talks, sharing their expertise and insights.
The series opens on Sunday 2 November with pianist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, known for her dazzling technique and imaginative musicianship, in a programme featuring Chopin, Beethoven, Florence Price and William Grant Still.
On Sunday 23 November, the world-renowned Belcea Quartet bring their signature passion and precision to works by Webern, Britten and Beethoven.
On Wednesday 7 January, guitarist Sean Shibe offers a unique journey through the centuries, blending music for lute and guitar by Dowland, JS Bach, Sofia Gubaidulina, Thomas Adès and more.
Violinist Isabelle Faust and soprano Anna Prohaska come together on Sunday 15 February for a very special performance of György Kurtág’s Kafka-Fragmente, just days before the composer’s 100th birthday.
To mark Wigmore Hall’s 125th anniversary, the Wigmore Soloists perform on Thursday 5 March, with clarinettist Michael Collins leading a programme of chamber music favourites, including Mozart and Brahms clarinet quintets.
The series closes on Sunday 12 April when Steven Isserlis and Connie Shih return to Dublin with a rich and varied recital featuring Beethoven, Kabalevsky, Schumann and Vítězslava Kaprálová.
Speaking at the announcement, RIAM Director Deborah Kelleher said:
"Once again we look forward to welcoming a stellar line-up of artists to our acoustically stunning Whyte Recital Hall. I’m especially pleased that this series continues to create lasting opportunities for our students, with complimentary tickets for full-time music students ensuring they’re part of every performance’s legacy here at RIAM."
