RIAM Partnerships: Peter Moore in Concert

Having shared the podium with the vibrant musicians of RIAM Philharmonia last season, RIAM International Visiting Artist Peter Moore returns for another year of performances, collaborative projects and education work.

In November, Moore joins forces with Irish pianist Éadaoin Copeland for a special recital featuring a programme of transcriptions, including César Franck’s monumental Violin Sonata and Medtner’s magical Vocalise Suite, reimagined for an instrument renowned for its vocal qualities. Described by BBC Music Magazine as a musician who “displays an eloquence and nobility that one might have thought impossible except by the human voice”, Moore will also be joined for a special collaboration by members of the RIAM Brass Department.

In January, he brings together musicians from conservatoires in Barcelona, Dublin, Helsinki and London for a week-long international brass project at RIAM, culminating in a showcase concert in the Whyte Recital Hall.
