Event Description

Irish Theatre Institute is delighted to close out the 2026 season of Table Read with a gripping script-in-hand reading of Consent by Nina Raine, directed by Eoghan Carrick.

Consent is a powerful, painful, funny play, that sifts the evidence from every side and puts justice itself in the dock. Confronting uncomfortable truths about how we navigate desire and the fragility of human relationships, the play follows the lawyers working on either side of a contentious rape trial, navigating the messy and cruel waters of the criminal justice system. But as the workings of the law seep into their relationships, everyone involved becomes entangled in the quest for revenge.

The reading will feature an outstanding ensemble of Irish actors, bringing together some of the country’s most compelling and accomplished stage talent. The full cast will be announced soon.

Join us for an evening of fearless writing and shared discovery.
