The Gesualdo Six - Wigmore Series Dublin

The 2026/27 Wigmore Series Dublin closes with The Gesualdo Six, the award-winning British vocal ensemble directed by Owain Park. Comprising some of the UK’s finest consort singers, the ensemble is known for imaginative programming, finely balanced vocal blend and performances that move easily between Renaissance polyphony, contemporary choral writing and new arrangements.

Their programme, Wishing Tree, explores nature, memory, love and folk tradition. Lyrical Renaissance works by William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons and Josquin des Prez are heard alongside contemporary pieces by David Bednall, Alison Willis, Joby Talbot, Sarah Rimkus and Owain Park, with traditional songs in new arrangements woven through the sequence.
