Tickets are now on sale for the 2026/27 Wigmore Series Dublin at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, presented in partnership with Wigmore Hall.
Devised for Irish audiences by John Gilhooly CBE, Artistic and Executive Director of Wigmore Hall, the new season brings an outstanding line-up of internationally acclaimed chamber musicians and recital artists to Dublin, performing in the intimate setting of RIAM’s Whyte Recital Hall.
The 2026/27 season opens on Sunday 6th September with celebrated musical partners Alina Ibragimova and Cédric Tiberghien, who present a programme of Beethoven violin sonatas, including the expansive ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata.
The season continues with one of today’s leading pianists, Angela Hewitt, making her Wigmore Series Dublin début on Wednesday 4th November with a programme of Mozart, JS Bach, François Couperin and Ravel.
On Sunday 6th December, soprano Nardus Williams and lutenist Elizabeth Kenny bring From Suir to Shore: A Journey in Song from Ireland to Venice to RIAM, an evocative programme moving from Ireland and England through Spain, France and Germany before arriving in Venice.
The series resumes in January with internationally acclaimed pianist Paul Lewis, whose programme places two Mozart sonatas alongside works by Schubert and Chopin. In February, the renowned Pavel Haas Quartet performs Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 7 in F, Op. 59 No. 1 ‘Razumovsky’ and Dvořák’s final string quartet. The season closes in March with award-winning vocal ensemble The Gesualdo Six, directed by Owain Park, presenting Wishing Tree, a captivating journey through Renaissance polyphony, contemporary choral writing and traditional song.
Alongside the public performances, visiting artists in the Wigmore Series Dublin will share their expertise with RIAM students through masterclasses and intimate Q&A sessions. These opportunities give emerging musicians direct access to internationally renowned performers and bring students closer to the highest levels of artistic practice.
Professor Deborah Kelleher, Director of RIAM, said: “Through this partnership, Irish audiences can hear artists of exceptional international calibre here in Dublin, in the intimate setting of RIAM’s Whyte Recital Hall.”
RIAM is deeply grateful to Clinch Wealth Management for their generous support of Wigmore Series Dublin, and to The Merrion Hotel, Accommodation Partner for the 2026/27 series.
