The Royal Irish Academy of Music has announced the line-up for the Wigmore Series Dublin 2026/2027, its special partnership with Wigmore Hall, one of the world’s most revered homes of chamber music and song. Supported by Clinch Wealth Management, the series brings six internationally acclaimed artists Dublin for six concerts from September 2026 to March 2027, all taking place in the intimate setting of RIAM’s Whyte Recital Hall.
The series opens on Sunday 6 September with long-term musical partners Alina Ibragimova and Cédric Tiberghien, who perform three Beethoven violin sonatas, including the expansive ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata.
On Wednesday 4 November, Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt makes her Wigmore Series Dublin début with a programme featuring music from JS Bach alongside François Couperin, Mozart and Ravel’s luminous Le Tombeau de Couperin.
On Sunday 6 December, soprano Nardus Williams and lutenist Elizabeth Kenny bring From Suir to Shore: A Journey in Song from Ireland to Venice to RIAM, tracing a musical journey through Ireland, England, Spain, France, Germany and Italy.
On Monday 25 January, Paul Lewis returns to Dublin with a programme that places two Mozart sonatas alongside works by Schubert and Chopin, exploring clarity, lyricism and expressive depth across the classical and Romantic traditions.
On Tuesday 9 February, Pavel Haas Quartet performs Beethoven’s first ‘Razumovsky’ quartet and Dvořák’s expansive final string quartet.
The series closes on Tuesday 9 March with The Gesualdo Six, the award-winning British vocal ensemble directed by Owain Park. Their programme, Wishing Tree, weaves together Renaissance masterpieces, contemporary choral works and newly arranged traditional songs.
