Cllr. Deirdre Conroy is an architectural historian, specialising in protected structure planning applications. She was called to the Bar in 2016 and was elected as Councillor to Dublin City Council for Kimmage-Rathmines in May 2019.

She is an opinion writer with Irish Independent, contributes to the Irish Arts Review and other publications. She is also a fine art consultant. Arts, culture, heritage, music are some of her many interests. She was appointed to the RIAM Board by Dublin City Council. Other boards include the Hugh Lane Gallery and the Little Museum of Dublin.
