Tamara Niekludow
Tamara Niekludow is a multi-award-winning concert pianist, piano lecturer, and examiner at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, as well as a competition adjudicator, conductor, and composer based in Dublin, Ireland.
Her musical journey began at the age of five at one of northern Poland’s most prestigious music schools, where she dedicated over 20 hours each week to mastering piano, singing, conducting, music theory, dictation, analysis, accompaniment, and chamber music. Her early education was shaped by renowned teachers such as Mirosława Pruska and Prof. Elżbieta Pasierowska, followed by advanced studies for her Bachelor's degree under Prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń and Dr. Kordian Góra at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
In 2011, Tamara relocated to Ireland, where she earned a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) under the guidance of Prof. Thérèse Fahy. She is currently pursuing a PhD with Prof. Fahy.
Throughout her career, Tamara has received over 40 international piano competition prizes and numerous scholarships for her outstanding musical and academic achievements, including the prestigious Minister of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship, which she has been awarded six times.
Her recordings have been broadcast by RTÉ, Polish Television, and radio stations. She has performed in 20 countries, including prestigious concert halls in Dublin, Tokyo, Shanghai, Warsaw, Moscow, Nice, Budapest, and Calgary.
Tamara’s extraordinary talent as a pianist is particularly evident in her acclaimed interpretations of Chopin’s works, for which she has received numerous special awards in international piano competitions.
To refine her pianistic skills further, she has participated in many international piano masterclasses and worked with renowned piano masters such as Dang Thai Son, Lee Kum-Sing, David Moroz, John Perry, Zhang Jin, Victor Merzhanov, Andrzej Jasiński, Viera Nossina, Eugen Indjic, Dina Yoffe, Alexei Orlovetsky, Boris Petrushansky, and Alberto Nose.
In addition to her distinguished performance career, Tamara is a dedicated and inspiring teacher. Her students have won over 200 awards in piano competitions, including numerous first prizes and major festival awards in competitions across Ireland, the UK, and Japan, reflecting her exceptional ability to nurture and develop young talent.
She has served as a music examiner for RIAM since 2017, and her students consistently achieve distinction in RIAM, ABRSM, and Trinity exams. Many of her students have earned music scholarships and secured places at prestigious secondary schools and institutions such as RIAM and TU Dublin.
Beyond teaching, Tamara has held several significant roles in the music community, including Executive Director of the Irish Youth Piano Festival and Committee Member of the Irish–Polish Society in Dublin.
As a composer, she primarily focuses on creating music for children, publishing numerous original works that have gained widespread popularity. Many of her compositions have been released by the Royal Irish Academy of Music and are performed annually by thousands of young pianists across Ireland and beyond. Her pieces—such as Sunny Day in Dublin Bay, Chirping Birds, Having Fun at Recess, and Toy Soldiers—feature catchy melodies that have made them beloved favourites among teachers and young performers worldwide.
To further share her passion for music and education, Tamara runs a YouTube channel called Tamara Piano Channel, where she regularly posts performances and educational videos. Through her channel, she shares her expertise with a wider audience, inspiring musicians of all levels and fostering a deeper appreciation for classical piano.
